After creating more and more designs, Chandran opened his own concept store ‘Area 27’ in his hometown, Kuala Lumpur, targeted at young trendsetters who shop for radical fashion. Bernard Chandran Spring/Summer 2014 collection

The style of this collection leans towards the future of fashion with silhouette structures and oversized above knee cuts. It’s a combination of urban jungle and abundant glamour which fits perfectly with Chandran’s personality. The clothes he has created for this collection are bold and beautiful, perfect inspiration for everyone.

The loose fitted designs have been created to give a princess style look, each model is given a definite beauty due to the way each garment is cut. Some of the key dresses have being embellished in a strong, emerald beading which gives the dresses a 3D effect. The beads reflected in the spotlight giving the entire collection a gorgeous outcome.

Chandran uses Royal Pahang silk which is coated in lurex finished with jeweled seam lines which creates a metallic, chic and futuristic image. The tiaras create an angelic and princess like effect upon the models which creates an innocent and beautiful illustration of the collection.

As they walk down the catwalk to the sound of 'Moody' by ESG the models rein over the sensational graphics of the urban jungle.

Bold colours and soft fabrics are key to perfecting this collection, the structure of each garment provides a gloriously, unique shape to those who may wear it.

This SS14 collection works perfectly with evening attire as it gives a princess image of pure beauty.

Other collections by Chandran include his AW13 collection; the style of this is very different as it’s a lot more casual and chic rather than bright and bold yet he still masters it beautifully, the fabrics used a long with the choice of colours work perfectly for autumn/winter weather. It’s stylish and perfect for almost everyone looking to look good this winter.

It won’t be long until we see more and more of Chandran's style of clothing hitting high streets worldwide, with his gorgeous, individual cuts many people are going to want to express themselves thorough the style he creates to show off their individuality and inspire others.
