Special Horoscope with Greetings from Ancient Greece

Although you may find this a bit shocking, we’d like to inform you that you have one more astrological sign, which reveals your dark side, thanks to the ancient Greeks. The ancient Greeks believed that the Horoscope of the Dark Forces is no less important than the traditional horoscope of the Zodiac Signs. However, unlike the ancient Greek oracles who inhaled strange volcanic gasses to hallucinate predictions, we have a professional team of astrologers and psychics who can unveil monthly predictions wearing a straight sober face.

This is how it works: The ancient horoscope is divided into 10 ancient signs, and depending upon your birth period it predicts the fate of your less attractive personality side, if you have one.

Sphinx, October 23 - 30 November

You are cold, selfish, sly and prudent, always attempt to humbly outwit others, and you take advantage of others in every possible situation. You are like this because the sign of Sphinx eclipses your birth period. It cannot be helped. Sphinx people also tend to save money and have secret stashes secured in many little places. They also tend to think the world revolves around them, and although in some cases this is not far from truth, the sad part is that they don’t really have real friends. Advice to you, stop measuring friends against benefits.

Minotaur, 1 December - 7 January

Unfortunately, a man with a bull's head has somewhat a lower rank in life. You will always find yourself being part of a herd, but never a leader. A good thing about you is that you know how to party, celebrate and enjoy the mighty fruits of victory. Bad thing, again, is that although you are helpful in nature, you tend to take other peoples’ ideas and present them as your own. You're an ideas thief! This habit of yours can annoy a few of your work colleagues this month, be careful.

Centaur, January 8 - February 12

Centaur - half man, half horse. Being a hybrid can sometimes make you feel confused, which is understandable. If you are born during this period you may find that your animal nature prevails over your human nature. In short, you have an animal in you! It will prove hard for you to control resentment, anger, sexual desires, fear and jealousy. You are most certainly guided by emotion rather than reason. Control the animal in you and you will survive the rest of 2011 without having to endure harsh consequences.

Harpy, February 13 - 18 March

Harpy is a mythological winged creature with dangerous and deadly claws - a symbol of revenge. If you’re a Harpy you will find it most difficult to forgive your offenders; you will hold grudges, feelings of dissatisfaction and envy bottled up in you for years. You find happiness in learning about your enemies’ misfortunes and you recover from grudges when you know your enemies endure pain. For this reason, the end of 2011 will prove to be a huge success for you, as you discover your major competitors hit rock bottom. Now that’s a splash!

Pegasus, March 19, - 24 April

Much like the legendary winged horse, if you are born in this period you will spend most of your time flying high and above others, or at least so in your head. Pegasus people are usually very proud, and deep in their heart they always believe they are worth more than what fate offers them. You probably hate all things routine and wish to lead a romantic and illusive life. Sadly, my dear Pegasus, December brings you a set of wing clippers. You’ll remain grounded and the only way you can hover over others is if you tie yourself to a rope and suspend yourself from the top floor of your office building.

Cerberus, April 25 - May 30

Oh shit, you’re the three-headed giant hound known for guarding the gates of Hades! If you’re a Cerberus you’re gloomy beast; you’re ready to jump down anyone’s throat for pettiest of things. Be careful this month though. If you do not find enough targets to channel your emotions, torturous depression will set in... Woof woof!

Satyr, May 31 - 3 July

Satyr sign is controlled by sex and all sorts of pleasures and much of your happiness will depend on how well you score in all of those areas. Men of this sign often tend to be shameless womanisers, breaking many hearts, destroying many families and feeling no remorse. Satyr women tend to go for love with obstacles and have very little interest in what is known as true love or love of simplicity and clarity. For Satyrs, December will bring a snowstorm of fun, sex and rock’n’roll activities, so don’t miss the boat!

Siren, July 4 - 10 August

The sweet irresistible voice of the three winged bird-women lured sailors onto the cliffs - definitely not a CD you’d play in your car, unless you'd like to be known as a Dead Man Driving. In life, Siren people are users and control others with their charm. Yes, you are charming when you want to be. If they set themselves a goal, they’ll see no obstacles; whatever it takes, they will reach it. What’s your goal this month?

Griffin, August 11, - 15 September

Half lion, half eagle - a militant, strong and uncontrollable creature. Griffin people are fanatical and will aim to defend what they believe in by whatever means possible. In earlier times, Griffin people were known to burn witches and participate in other repressions. You can be dangerous. Please keep your ideas to yourself for the rest of 2011.

Chimera, on 16 September - October 22

Chimera is a multifaceted mythical creature, often taking on faces of a goat, a lion and a snake. Chimera people in general tend to be hypocritical, regularly changing faces and they can never be trusted in their dealings. Shadowed by the sign of Chimera, you cannot easily be understood by anyone and pretty much EVERYTHING about you lacks clarity. Good news is that nothing changes for you this month. You remain a hypocrite.

Visit Greece and Explore Top Mythological Sites

We love to joke and we love to travel. Here is a list of sites to inspire you to visit Greece and some of the top mythological sites in Greece.

Delos

Delos is a Greek island near Mykonos. The ruins at the archaeological site on the island of Delos are one of the best preserved examples of Ancient Greek civilisation and can only be matched by the Acropolis of Athens.

According to Greek mythology, gods Artemis and Apollo were born on this island, and thus the island became a sacred place and a major religious centre and port during the 1st millennium B.C.

Doric temples, markets, an amphitheatre, houses with mosaics and the iconic Terrace of the Lions statues are all among the island’s ruins. There’s also the Archaeological Museum where you can see statues that were excavated from the site.

The Labyrinth

Are you familiar with the exciting tale of Minos, Theseus and the Minotaur from the Greek Mythology? (Minos, a powerful king, ruler of Crete, and the son of Zeus was cursed to raise a son with the body of a man and the head of a bull after he betrayed Poseidon. Minos built the fabled Labyrinth and trapped the Minotaur within it and then sent victims to their deaths until Theseus, prince of Athens, ventured into the Labyrinth and slayed the beast.)

There are two possible labyrinths to explore.

Gortyn archaeological site in Crete is a suspected home of the Labyrinth. Further away from Minos’ home, these ruins bear a similar resemblance to the maze of mythology.

Another site is Kommos in southern Crete that has spectacular ancient ruins and beautiful ocean views. Within the ruins of this ancient city, you will find many maze-like corridors and walkways that may also have been the inspiration for the tale.

Cave of Zeus

The Cave of Zeus is an extraordinary system of caves and a piece of Greek mythological history tucked away on the slopes of Mount Ida, on the island of Crete. It is said that the King of Gods, Zeus, was born and raised in a cave beneath Mount Ida. The entrance of the cave leads into a network of caves filled with beautiful rock formations and underground pools. It’s a beautiful underworld and a fitting place for the beginnings of the greatest god in Greek mythology.

Mount Olympus

Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece and one of the most well-known natural landmarks in the world. This legendary and iconic mountain in Greek mainland is an awe-inspiring sight, however, there is more to it than meets the eye.

In Greek mythology, Olympus was created after the gods defeated the titans in the War of the Titans.

Atop its peak they then built the Pantheon, where Zeus sat upon his throne as King of Gods and where all the fiery discussions among the deities took place.
