I love Christian Dior, Mayfair nightclubs and my extravagant weekend breaks in Europe. The price tags associated with such luxury quickly made me understand that I needed a serious promotion and a generous pay rise.
The competition for a good solid well paid seat is tremendously intense, and the line-up of potential applicants who are way better than me is infinite. They are either more experienced, hold 20 university degrees or willing to compromise in other unorthodox ways. Well, I am young, good looking, good at my job, alas holding one degree and have one brief paragraph of notable experience on my CV. I quickly realized that you had to be sneaky to get ahead.
All my colleagues are career driven women who incessantly struggle to hold down relationships. Good healthy relationships are so hard to come by these days, and its not worth wasting time waiting for one, so I figured: “who cares? Might as well f*%k my boss!”
My desk was on my boss’s way to the coffee. The greater my cleavage was the more likely he stop and chat. It was very convenient. As time went on his coffee consumption increased and our conversations started becoming more frequent and more personal.
He obviously liked me. Sadly I didn’t think much of his physique. A short middle-aged man harvesting a beer belly and parading a receding hairline isn’t quite what I constitute as attractive. But he had bag-loads of charisma and I found his power enticingly sexy.
In most scenarios having a fling with a married man is not a desired state of affairs. In this case, however, I didn’t really want a clingy relationship so it worked out to my advantage. Some of my fellow colleagues think it is degrading for me to sleep with a married man, though I never understood that. He is the one who is married, not me!
…Need I say more!
