Fashion Mode and Fashion Designers

Fashion Mode establishes upcoming fashion designers bringing the newest generation of designers to the public eye. Some of the hot names on the lips are Carlotta Actis Barone who creates fashion lines, which are a blend of political and social matters, exploring truth in society. Carlotta has been stimulated from a young age and works in liberating female condition.

Along with Carlotta Actis Barone and Florian Jayet, James Hillman stars as a Fashion Mode designer, a new spark of fresh and vibrant air that comes with much expected excitement.

James Hillman, the Maven

James Hillman graduated from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design where he dedicated himself to menswear and has since produced outstanding clothing lines for the male silhouette that are tailored right down to their finest details.

We can tell it's you James!

James signature style is high quality detailing and experimentation with astonishing fabrics, using innovative finishes. His designs are bold and curious, they ooze luxury and yet the fun energy is still woven in every stitch. His inspiration for his collections comes from much research and he reaps his rewards from his outstanding collections.

Hillman experienced fashion creation through various internships and from this has developed his own signature style. From his collections, a concept that is illustrated is the need for simplicity. He removes the stiff collar of the shirt and de-structures it entirely. Instead, he rests the collars on the top of the jackets. His research led to him to be specifically inspired by the 59 Bike Club from which the image of the ‘cool priest’ was born. Sticking to the clean lines and simple elements of the designs, the Teddy Boy’s tailored look added with oversized jackets creates a new dynamic to his pristine designs.

A Defining S/S12 Collection

James Hillman’s SS12 collection was a mixture of palette colours, pastels of mauve, blues, pinks and creams and transformed overlaid shirts with extreme structural definitions by the flared straight striped trousers he accompanied them with. Whether it be the button done up at the top of the shirt, the sleek lines off the tight tops or the accompaniment with a black jacket, they all add up in a fused equation to make a sophisticated and suave example of his abilities. A formal yet simple design, tweaked through the adding of a lapel, the bib collar or the cross coloured shirts, an interesting and ever exciting collection of Hillman’s. He removes the trousers, creates flared shorts which sit underneath the diagonal lined long sleeved tight tops. He cuts and softens, crisps and slits and produces stand out understatements with such detail that is hard to miss!

So thrill me, what have you got next?

So what do we expect from this outstanding designer this season? Well, he’ll keep us guessing. We can count on the slick black sheens of his previous S/S12 collection and the rustic charm of his earlier collections. Do we still expect pastels? I don’t know, but what I do know is that we need to look closer at the stitching! We are only scratching at the surface when we expect sleek and clean designs, patterns, which complete dynamic lines and colours to compliment possible oversized blazers or thick coats.

Fashion Mode is opening our eyes to the new fashion styles and designs, so it’s sure to say that whatever comes next will blow our expectations out of the water. We want fashion at the very core and with such contemporary designers, they’ll be sure to put their stamp on the industry. We can expect innovation in the simplest form, which explores fabric selection, new lines, a play on shadow and silhouette and the use of all possible colours. Whether there is a political current or a love of definitive cultures, we can expect a fresh take on old authentic styles.
