Fam Irvoll

Fam Irvoll, the designer responsible for a string of cheerful and fun collections, was born and raised in Oslo, Norway. Irvoll graduated from Esmod International in 2005 and from Central St Martins in London in 2008. Her collections are very playful and her signature style includes bright colours and three-dimensional shapes combined with prominent cartoon elements.

In-line with Fam Irvoll’s playful clothing, her collection presentations are just as animated and entertaining. Last season we were pleasantly surprised to see the SS13 catwalk open with fashion models dressed as and enacting heart-warming grannies. This season we saw wicked nineties kids throwing at us cool old-skool moves.

Bright bomber jackets, polo neck crop tops, low slung black jeans, high-waisted jeans patched with cartoon lips and eyes, and leggings defined the look for the season. Garments featured comic book style and graphic pop art prints, accessorised with dark lip liner and huge hoop earrings, pop art style speech bubbles exclaiming 'LOL' and 'YOLO', as well as 2D cartoon style eyes and lips.

The show wrapped up with an energetic live performance by a female rapper, followed by Fam Irvoll's well-received entrance on the catwalk.
