Dream Big and Make it Happen

So 2014 has arrived and for some of us, it’s arrived pretty quickly which hasn’t really allowed a lot of us to accomplish or even start our dreams.

2013 may have been the year that you thought of brilliant ideas to make yourself become that person you want to be but you’ve held it off until ‘next year’ well, this is your year. Stop doing what you don’t enjoy and get out there, do some research and start off the life you really want to live.

Whether your dream is to become a successful fashion designer, a journalist or even a flipping astronaut, no matter how crazy or ‘unrealistic’ people tell you your dreams are, you know what you want to do with your life and you know exactly what would make you happy. Start writing a book, even start a crazy project. Just do something this year that’s going to make you feel like you’re accomplishing something.

Get motivated.

Don’t skip class, study hard and get into that university you want to go to, work your ass off to get that amazing promotion. Travel! See the world with your own eyes or at least start saving your money so you know that one day, even if you’re 76 years old, you can travel around and experience every country, every culture and every atmosphere that you possibly can. Climb to the top of a mountain.

Accomplish what you believe to be impossible.

Start a Youtube channel, create a blog or just start a journal. Record all of the great things that may happen this year and forget all of the worst because since when did terrible events even count for anything? Let it all go and start fresh.

Go outside more, experience nature and become more social. Quit the job you hate and find the one you love.

Grab a note pad and a bunch of colourful pens, start noting every idea that you get, whether it’s simple or impracticable, get them down and soon enough you’ll start to know what you want to do and how you’re going to get there. You and only you knows what will beyond doubt make you the happiest you can be.

Of course things don’t always go to plan and you may end up believing that there is no hope, don’t. Don’t ever lose hope on something that will bring you great happiness. Do the best you possibly can no matter what.

Don’t let anything or anyone stop you from becoming who you truly want to be and let this year show you how successful and creative you can become.

And please don’t put it off until next year…
