Cristina Cernei lays a garden at your feet

Working with Art University, Austria, Cristina Cernei has painted the most natural picture of real femininity at its most beautiful which is easily seen in her current collection. Shown at this year’s A La Mode, presented by LGN Events, her collection portrays a classical country garden feel through the most unique and distinct designs.

The flurries of flowering motifs grow beautifully down the dresses, creating such an elegant fluidity to the catwalk. Her dresses display some of the most exquisite designs you’ll see, with the petal like pleating of the skirt line, the wrapping of delicate fabrics to create creases in the shape of an opening flower, so unique that against the exuberant colours she dares to use, her collection fuses together and radiates such a classical feel.

Cristina Cernei's SS12 collection.

Cernei uses rustic colours alongside bright fuchsias and oranges, her fluent fabric falls in such ways that float and drop elegantly. To her designs she applies beautiful sashes, montages of floral embellishments which wrap around the waist line and creep over the shoulder, and gorgeous hoods which stretch around the head and face and around the torso before falling down to the floor, with the look of embroidery but actually individually hand painted.

Her collection is individualistic yet on behalf of the female silhouette proudly represents natural beauty.
